Founded in 1949, Eagle Bridge Machine & Tool, Inc. (EBM) is a precision production machining business specializing in the machining of large castings. Although EBM serves multiple industries, including the oil and defense sectors, its historic emphasis has been on the mass transportation industry where it is a leading supplier of undercarriage components for light passenger rail and subway cars. EBM primarily serves the North American market, but its components have been incorporated in rail systems worldwide. Divested June 17, 2011.

Micro Precision Group

Formed in 1989, Micro Precision Group, Inc. (MPI) is a Connecticut based, diversified manufacturer serving the aerospace, defense and rail industries. MPI is comprised of three primary subsidiaries: Micro Precision, Inc., Wentworth Manufacturing, Nathan Manufacturing and Windham Machine. Micro Precision, Inc. manufactures large hydraulic systems for the U.S. Nuclear Submarine Program and aerial towers used in military communications. Wentworth Manufacturing supplies specialized jet engine assembly tooling and is a prime contractor to companies participating in the Department of Defense’s Joint Strike Fighter Program. Nathan Manufacturing is a 150 year old company that has been a leader in the development and sale of train horn technology. Through its recent purchase of Airchime, Inc., a transaction Stanwich supported, Nathan will now be the leading manufacturer of train horns in North America and it will gain a strong presence in the marine horn marketplace. Windham Machine is a precision machining business that serves the Micro-Precision family as well as external customers. Divested September 16, 2011.
